Biotec Filter Range
Yamitsu Filter
The Yamitsu Black Box range of Mega Media filters are ideal for garden ponds up to 3000 gallons (depending on stock density). They are supplied complete with the most comprehensive media packages on the market. This ensures a very high level of biological and mechanical filtration. Their no-fuss design makes installation simple. They have been designed to enable partial sinking into the ground if required.
KF4000 Multi Chamber Filter
The KF4000 is high quality, free-standing, fibreglass, four bay, filter designed to inprove your fisf's environment. Its "state-of-the-art" multi chamber ensures maximum filtration with the minimum of maintenance. The unit is suitable for ponds of upto 4000lites and a maximum flow rate of 3000 litres ph. however, with lighter stocking densities the KF4000 will comfortably cope with larger volumes. 1.5" inlet & 2" outlet. complete with japanese matting, filter brushes and flocor.
4000 Litre (4Bay)36" x 17" x 19" Deep Max flow rate 3,000 litre per hour inlet size 1.5" - Outlet 2" solvent.
Available as pump fed with spray bar complete with or without media. Two drainage points- ( Accepts 1.5" solvent weld pipe for remote drainage ) Media flocor, cartridge, brushes, filter wadding .
KF 18,000 Multi Chamber Filter
The KF18,000v is a high quality, free-standing, fiberglass, four bay, filter with intergral vortex. it is designed to inprove your fish's environment. it's "state-of-the-art" multi chamber design ensures maximum filtration with the minimum of maintenance. The unit is suitable for fish ponds of 18,000 litres and a maximum flow rate of 11,000 litres per hour. However, with lighter stocking densities or in fish free ponds the KF 18,000 will comfortably cope with much larger volumes. the integral Vortex enhances the unit's performance and rededuces the maintenance intervals.
Bay 1 Eighteen 16" Long x 8" Diametre polypropylene filter brushes- they are of a semi-rigid construction with a wire loop at the end for easy cleaning.
Bay 2 Blue Matting- this is an excellent filter media as it has a large surface area giving it an excellent bio-mass retention. it's open texture removes larger particles from the water.
Bay 3 Three layers of reticulated foam with different density of porosity of each layer. This is on top of a layer of approximately 2 cubic foot of flocor.
Bay 4 Six way foam block manifold assembly on top of six cubic foot of flocor. The large surface area of flocor tubes makes it an ideal filter media.

Rinsing procedure for the Beadmaster® Filters:
-
Stop the pump, switch the purge valve to the "rinse/blower" position and start the air blower. The air bubbles rise through the filter material and loosen the dirt. The air escapes through the purge valve to the sewer/outlet. After approximately 10 to 30 seconds stop the air blower again (depending on the amount of soiling).
-
Switch the purge valve to the "backwash" position and start the pump. The water is now taken through the filter in the opposite direction, where the loosened dirt is taken to the outlet. By fitting a sight glass in the discharge line it can be simply checked when the rinsing water is clean enough (1 to 2 minutes).
-
Stop the pump, switch the purge valve to the "rinse/blower" position and start the pump. The water is now taken through the filter in the normal way, but afterwards is not taken back to the pond but to the outlet. In this way the last dirt after rinsing is not pumped back to the pond but drained away to the sewer (20-30 seconds).
-
Stop the pump, switch the purge valve to the "filter", position, start the pump, and that's that!
The whole procedure takes only a few minutes and very little water!
